Amy and I must have said "God will never give us more than we can handle" hundreds of times over the past year so your title brought a wry smile to my face this evening.....I will state that enduring something as tiring and grueling as you are truly makes the "incidences" of the past that once seemed like "big deals" trivial in comparison. Stay strong. Stay rested. Know you're in the best possible place in the entire world for medical care...and that God is in your corner (and the last time I checked that's a great thing :).

How about "Anything is possible"....I would, of course, add "with God". Can't wait to see what others share. Praying often. Love, Sharon

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Or your faith-focused option:

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Your family is absolutely never alone!

"Everything happens for a reason."
The tough part....being still to find out the reason at a later time, and trusting that the "reason" is what the Lord will reveal to us as his will.

You posted this on your facebook page awhile ago and it has stuck with me each day "let us boast in our sufferings, for we know that suffering produces endurance, which produces character and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint." Romans 5:4-5
There have been some good ones - keep hanging in there and know that we love you all very much!

"Sometimes He (God) calms the storm and other times He calms His child." the refrain from an old Scott Krippayne song which we have prayed for you all every day! Love you

First secular encouragement cliche to come to mind:
this too shall pass.

OR this one:
remember there's always someone who has it worse off.
(I can't wrap my head around how that is supposed to be encouraging.)

First non-secular encouragement cliche I think of: Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.

Praying for each of you and have been since we heard of Chaia's sickness. Will continue to pray for peace and healing.

A couple of my favorites...

Faith makes all things possible, not easy

After the storm comes the rainbow

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain...

I'd say you guys are doing a pretty good job of dancing through this storm...a true inspiration...praying for you all each and every day!

Our worst days are never so bad that we are beyond the reach of God's grace and our best days are never so good that we are beyond the need of God's grace.

Prayers to you all!

We have a banner in the back of our church that I believe can be encouraging yet makes us reflect on our day. It simply is this:

Today we moved GODWARD!

I encourage you to always move Godward.
