Bump

What happens when you hit a bump in the road?

Everything with C3 has gone smoothly since we hit the ground this past April. We've met with a number of people shared our hopes and dreams, and many of them have said, "I'm in!" We've seen transformations both big and small in a number of people. We've heard C3ers share that for the first time they want to invite their friends to their church.

I've shared with a number of people that God has been merciful with the church planting process because He knows we're still in a huge battle in Chaia's story.

And this week we've hit the first 'bump' in the road.

I feel like God has been pretty clear on His leading with where He is calling us to gather for our celebrations. It literally meets every "Need List" and "Wish List" criteria I have for a space...and yet it doesn't appear that the space is going to work out.

To be honest, I don't like bumps. They obviously take away from the smooth ride we are experiencing, and if we aren't careful and hit a bump hard, it can mess up our alignment and do serious damage to where we are going and how we are getting there.

Bumps can discourage...dishearten...or even derail us in fear.

Last night, I felt a little of all of those, but then a group of C3 Leadership got together, got on our knees and prayed. We prayed for things that seem impossible. We prayed for supernatural guidance. And I came away from that in total TRUST about what God can and will do.

He's a provider.

We need provision.

He doesn't give his children rocks when they need bread.

He shows up.

It's His nature.

It's what happens in the bumps that often demonstrates and displays God's Glory.

That's the point. Following Jesus doesn't exempt you or pardon you from a bumpy road. In fact at points, it may even get bumpier.

But the bumps lend us opportunities to show where we place our trust.

In the good times...

The bad times...

There is no One more trustworthy than the God who shows up in the midst of the bumps.
