Ecuador Day One

Don't have much time but wanted to give a quick recap of day one with Compassion International and STADIA in Ecuador!

We arrived late Monday night in the capital city of Quito and woke up to this view

Compassion's national headquarters are in Quito and so we had a chance to meet many of the staff who make the ministry happen throughout the country and learn a bit more about the heartbeat of Compassion.

In the afternoon we went to one of the 12 Stadia church plants that are being launched in Ecuador in 2012. We had the chance to pray over the church planter and the staff of the school and hang out with the kids of the school who are now able to be sponsored because of the synergy of Compassion and Stadia.

One of the highlights was witnessing Al, a friend of mine in ministry be able to meet his sponsor child at this location.

This embrace lasted for like maybe 30 seconds.

And the impact lasts a lifetime.
