Prayer for One Thing

Going to change up the prayer requests this week. Typically I give you a list. This week, I'm only going to ask for prayer for one thing. And then I'm going to ask you to reply with the one thing you are asking for prayer for this week. And as a mustard community, we will pray for each other.

My Prayer Request is for Chaia this week. We've had a tough stretch the last week and we head to the Cleveland Clinic tomorrow for her quarterly echo/ekg/cardiologist appointment/geneticist appointment, etc. For whatever reason, the last couple of these have stolen our hope. We know Chaia is a long shot. We also know with God writing the story, we like our odds. But sometimes we go in to those appointments already bruised and battered from just trying to hang on and then feel broken by the end of that day. Pray for hope and encouragement and for healing.

Now, one prayer...how can we pray for you?

I'm asking God to help me with follow-through. It's important in football, and it's important in life. To begin is good, but to follow it to the very end is even better. Completion! What God begins, He wishes to complete. Pray that I would take His lead and follow.

I'm praying for Blake, my neighbor's grandson. He's 8 months old and was diagnosed with cancer. Things are not going well so he could use all the prayers he can get.

Sorry this is so late but this week has been just off the charts hectic! Please pray for my 79 year old dad. He remarried 1 year ago after my mum died in 2008. They moved to Normandy, France, following the Lord's call to ministry in a really dark spiritual place and are building that work as they convert their barns at their new home into places of worship. Dad is having major heart surgery on Monday October 15th....and I mean major! He knows that 'to live is Christ and to die is gain' but we so want Normandy (France) to be raised out of darkness and we know the enemy doesn't. So we pray dad will survive the surgery and can then continue the work, as Moses did, after he turned 80!!!!
