Chaia's 80 Day Recap

Tomorrow will be 80 days in hospitals.

Got this from my sister today and thought it was worth sharing in honor of this milestone.

Chaia is doing ok in her new Temporary Living Facility.

I woke up with a sore throat this morning (awesome!) so I've been maskin' it up today.

Shaina and I are both pretty worn down...just tired of the unknown and the holding pattern, but God has brought her pretty far from day one in the hospital to day 80...so we are grateful...but nonetheless weary and worn down.

I keep thinking back to Hebrews and Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and the way they acted out their faith. God gave a promise that took years, decades, GENERATIONS before it was fulfilled. And yet their faith and endurance was credited as righteousness. I think too of the other names listed, all of whom suffered greatly and for a while you are welcoming the promise from a distance. I pray and continue to petition God that His promise might meet you QUICKLY! But until then we continue to kneel for Chaia daily, we fast and lift up your arms so that you can continue to praise Him. We think of you always and pray for your strength and endurance! - The MacPherson Family

Then back to the Scriptures you must go guys....'A bruised reed I will not break' ' You will rise up on wings like eagles' 'the joy of the Lord shall be your strength'.....there are so many words they give us for just such a time as this, BUT.......I can feel for you, I too have been very tired and worn down, so please do remember you are human and that it is only to be expected.........and as the previous person said....we are here to hold up your arms so you can continue on this miraculous journey with God for HIS glory.
God Bless and remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE....xxx

Isaiah 41:10

"Do do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand."

We thank you Lord for the great news of Chaia's status. Prayers for Chaia's health are being heard and we are so thankful for that. Although Ben and Shaina trust in you more than most parents could ever do, they are weary and worn from waiting. The daily ups and downs of the hospital life and doctors reports and opinions are taking a toll on them. Give them strength and patience as they wait at Chaia's side in the hospital. They want to take her home, Lord, and sleep in their own beds and Chaia in her crib. Grant them peace and rest and the ability to to take this one day, one hour at a time. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

"O Lord, be gracious to us. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in times of distress." - Isaiah 33:2

"I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble but take heart. I have overcome the world!" - John 16:33

This journey has been a long one for you guys. I am praying for strength, health, and peace to all of you! Your faith throughout this trial is so incredible...I know that God has been right there beside you this whole time...how else would you have come to this point? I love you all, and will continue to pray for Chaia. What a beautiful, brave princess :)

What a beautiful album of a beautiful family and beautiful little girl. She IS a rock star and so are her parents. I can't imagine how worn and weary you are, but you are brave, and you are strong even though you don't always feel it. Continuing to pray for you all. Love, Bruce and Sharon
