Photoshoot

Chaia has had an incredible day.

First the medical side: She was on CPAP with a plan to give her an hour off the CPAP on Hi-flo oxygen to see how her body would respond. They began that process at 11 a.m. and it is now 5 p.m. and she is still on the Hi-flo...the doctors are so pleased that they are going to let her stay on the Hi-Flo the rest of the day and then think about CPAP for overnight!

Second the photoshoot: So Sarah Ishler, who we met this morning caught wind of the blog from someone else we don't know...who got it from someone else who we don't know from someone we do know...who knows Kevin Bacon (kidding)...is a photographer. She connected with us and said she'd like to capture Chaia's journey for us through her lens. Her business is called Sarah Marie Photography and I couldn't recommed her any more highly...and we've only seen two pictures so far!

We will post more in the next few weeks.

Thanks to Sarah and her husband Kevin for making a day that is already worth celebrating that much better.

Sarah Ishler is a friend of mine who had posted your blog. Today I started reading July and haven't been able to walk away from the computer until I got to today's post. I will be following every day and praying for Chaia. When Sarah said that she had the chance to take pictures of Chaia, I knew she was the right person, as she took pictures of my son at 3 days old, the day before his Daddy left for Afghanistan. She is an amazing photographer and I'm glad that she is able to give you guys the gift that she posesses! So far the pictures are beautiful! Chaia is a beautiful little girl!!! Those eyes get me!!! Stay strong Chaia!!! : )

Your family and your little girl are inspiring me to be a better person... just wanted you to know that. I was in a bit of a dark place and having a pity party, but your blog is turning things around for me. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Your little girl is beautiful and her, you, and your wife are in my prayers. And thank you so much for helping teach me how to pray :o)
