Picture worth a thousand...

It has been 2 weeks since we held our baby girl (with the exception of 5 minutes at Akron Children's when her stats were plummeting.)

So that makes today a really good day.

Us again...we are unpacking (still) and just hanging a sign in our kitchen. Want to share it with you - Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see." We have the faith in God's miracle for your precious little Chaia. Love, S & B

Dear Ben & Shaina,
I just heard about Chaia from a friend at the Catholic campus ministry in Pittsburgh, and I wanted to let you know I am praying for her and your family. Your story has a special place in my heart because I was very sick as a little baby as well. I will also ask my parents and friends to pray for you. May Chaia be healed if it is God's will, and whatever His will is may you and Shaina be strengthened and comforted throughout this ordeal. I hope to be able to hear good news soon.
God bless,
Kelly from Pittsburgh

I don't even know what to say-I cry every time I read your blog. I rest easy though knowing you are all a family of faith and when I see your video updates I can't believe how collected you are. You are SO right that God is already using this experience to bring people of all kinds together, and for His glory. Matt and I pray for you and for a miracle every day. We have an 18 month old baby girl and because of your story I hold her longer than I ever have. -Gretchen (Schnee)

Beautiful! The Lord showed me today that now we have a clear picture of what is wrong with Chaia. Without this positive proof, we didn't have anything to gauge against that a miracle has fully taken place. I am still believing for God to perform a mighty miracle in her little life! This way when it happens, the doctors can look back at the test results from yesterday and stand in awe at what God has done! Praying fervently for you both as well! Hugs!

Your message of not so good news broke my heart. To see 2 wonderful, young parents in so much pain, is agonizing for those of us who know you and care so much about you. However, the pictures of Chaia with Shaina are awesome. To see that little fragile bean smile so beautifully as her mommy held her in her loving arms, made everything so much easier to take. Chaia is a little fighter...you can see that in her eyes. I pray that you 2 and the doctors can make the very best decisions for her future and that the 3 of you can go home together one day soon and be the family you were so meant to be. Loving you all, Anne Fischer.
