PSALM 16:11
You make known to me the path of LIFE;
you will fill me with JOY in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
This verse hangs in Chaia's nursery, has both her first and middle name in the verse. We love this little one so much but she is not ours.
She's the Lord's and it is and always has been His Work to do.
We need a miracle. And our God is more than able. I'm asking you to kneel. Not just think positive thoughts. Not feel sad or sentimental for us. I'm asking you to kneel before the Mighty God and cry out to Him.
Chaia is in some ways a rock star. The pediatric specialist at Cleveland Clinic and the adult coronary specialist as well have never seen anything like what Chaia is showing. They have consulted with doctors across the globe seeking to find out if any others have come across this.
We are essentially down to three possible routes medically. First, we aggressively give steroids to Chaia to see if it pumps up the weak, underdeveloped and apparently 'missing' vessels in and around her heart. If that happens then her body and heart may be able to support her body and begin recovery.
Route two is a heart transplant. As the doctor said this is not a cure, its essentially trading one disease for another. If the possible myocarditis is not remedied by steroids this is a possible second option.
Route three is God befuddling physicians for His glory. The physicians are already befuddled...but its not in awe of God. I'm ready to see this shift happen. I want grown men, believers and unbelievers alike to simply point to a God who heals.
I'm ok with God working in any of these three routes. So pray for His movement.
They've begun the high level dosage of steroids this evening. 3 days of this to see if route one will work.
She's His. And He's able.

Thompson Trio - Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We know that when dealing with the heart, that things can change in an instant, let alone three days. We are very hopeful that the steroids will start to take effect and impact your baby girl's heart. You're in the best possible place in the world for the Heart. The Clinic has changed our lives forever. M40 has changed our lives forever. God has changed our lives forever. Ben, Shaina, I have no wise words or even thoughts that might help. But I WILL get on my knees and cry out to our all powerful God for this precious little miracle Chaia. Our hearts and prayers for all of you. Tonight many prayer warriors have come to help carry this load.
Ben and Shaina, I just wanted to let you know that my thoughts are with you. I pray that God delivers the miracle you are hoping for. If there is anything that I can do just ask.
