C3's 40 Day Challenge

City Campus Church kicked off it's 6 week STATUS: The Truth About Love, Sex and Marriage series today.

As part of the journey, we are asking everybody to lean into this series with a 40 Day Challenge



For single and dating folks, the challenge is this: For 40 days, commit to pray daily and fast from sex, porn, masturbation, etc. We believe that God wants to do something in us as a people and 40 days of positioning ourselves and pursuing to live in the freedom and design God has for us sexually may be a critical part to unleashing this story. 40 days of praying like our lives depend on it (because they do) honoring God with our body.

For married folks the challenge is similar: For 40 days commit to pray together as a couple. Pray for each other. Pray with each other. Pray together. The second part of the challenge is that during the 40 days, the couple is to find a seven day stretch and seek to have sex every day for those 7 days. Yes you read that right. The pastor is telling the married folk to have sex.

The point of this is not a publicity stunt or to grow our children's ministry (though that is a great side effect!). The point is that in this 40 day stretch, we want people to intentionally pursue their mates and grow in intimacy and even have some fun along the way.

40 days.

Commitment to seek God in desperation.

Dedication to purity and to honor God sexually.

40 Days to see what God could do.

Change starts here.
