Remember July?

I just scanned back in my blog to the day Chaia was born and how we came up with her name.

You can read that here

You can see her very first pictures here

And then there was this post from July 18 that still tugs at my heart. And for the record, that is still the prayer we pray...even now. (Though we might change it up for any future kids...I kid.)

I share these from July...because in my mind, they give glimpses to where we've gotten to in October. It is remarkable to think of the hand of God orchestrating this from scene to scene...And now we move toward the pivotal scene in this story. The next 48 hours are exhillarating, terrifying, peace-filled and unsettling.

We're in Gethsemane friends...and the prayers here are agonizing.

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

May you feel His great presence and the peace it brings during this most difficult time.

God bless you all with answered prayers.

I came across your blog through a friend of mine on facebook. Your story has touched my heart and soul. My daughter was born 12 days after yours and your faith is inspirational. I don't know that I could have your strength. I want you to know that you have prayers in Ohio. I am relentlessly praying for your baby and your family. You are on mind and in my prayers all day every day.

I just read the name story (lol at cute little nugget) Her middle name explanation reminds me of the explanation of mine- I am my parents Joy, as she is yours...and now countless people who are sending up prayers for her. I really look forward to your blog posts. Little Miss CJ is a total doll baby :)

As I laid in bed a couple nights ago, I also went back to read the blog where you introduced and explained Chaia's name. I was desperate for comfort and peace for myself, and in need of some guidance in my prayers for all three of you. That blog of a much simpler time gave me an overall sense of calmness and guidance that I had been seeking. I keep praying for God's will to be done as He sees fit, while also pleading for a miracle here on earth for baby Chaia. The next 48 hours will be filled with prayers for all of you. May they lift us all up and fill us with the strength we need. God bless us all as we pray and plead for this sweet baby girl!!! Chaia is such life and joy!!! :)

incredible James 2 and
"In the midst of trials and testing...It's nothing but Joy. Chaia Joy...Life of Joy. There is no greater prayer for this little bean, than to have joy and contentment in all things."

God's plans for her life were and are beyond what we can fathom

I was sent the link to your blog and was asked to pray for you all via a friend of one of your relatives.

Chaia Joy has touched my heart many miles away in England. She has made me smile and cry in the same moment! She is so beautiful and so special.

I have, and will continue, to pray for you all.

Talitha koum!

With love
Amanda

Both prayers and tears continue to be offered for the personal 'agony in the garden' you are going through. Many years ago we traveled the same journey as you are experiencing. We understand only too well the feelings and fears . . the thoughts and prayerful communications you are now having with both Chaia and our heavenly Father. Please remember you are not alone. You are warmly embraced by our dear Lord and by many, many faithful friends and family. God bless you and keep you all.
