So we are calling the gathering for Chaia "Bombarding the Heavens".
Here's where I'm at. The prognosis is all around not spectacular.
Today an ICU doctor came in and shared with us the facts of Chaia's heart and body. He said it is an absolute that the heart is 25% dead. It's an absolute that she needs a transplant or else. 10 times in the conversation he used the word 'absolute'.
Here's the deal. I understand his statements and that he is trying to get us to understand the gravity of this (as if we didn't get it already.)
But there is only one prognosis that is absolute, and that is that Jesus has conquered the grave...and He is not done here.
That is why we are gathering on Sunday evening. Because this story is not over and we need the people of God to dig their heels in and persist to the point of annoying by bombarding the heavens with our prayers.
So please come. If you're a state away, we'll lodge you. If you're worried about classes or work in the morning, I'll write you a pass. Just come and dig your heels in and persist and plead with us.
We will not waiver from the belief that God is doing a glorious thing in our midst. Jesus can make dead hearts beat again.
I ABSOLUTELY believe that.

Hey guys, still thinking and praying for you often. Shaina, really thinking of you. From one mommy to another, you are a in a very unique place... to have your baby girl under so much stress and medical attention.. for you to be so young and yet have to endure such hardship, and to have to be kept an arm's length away from her little body. I know your heart must be breaking all over as you watch Chaia. I know your strength can only come from your solid faith in Christ, and I'm so thankful He has saved you. At the same time, we are human and your suffering is real... and my heart aches for you. I continue to pray for you and Ben and little Chaia. Sending so much love and prayers your way, Michelle Cooper (Becky's neighbor)
We're believing the report of the LORD!
I am a "relative" Of Holly Zakikian and have been following your blog for a few weeks. You and your precious baby girl are in my prayers. I know the power of God! After a Neuro-Psych evalution of my 25 year old son who sustained a Tramatic Brain Injury, the Dr. gave him a grave report. I said that I appreciate the results of the tests, but that they need to factor in the power of God and the number of people who are praying for him. She said, "You need to be realistic." I said, "I am!" My son has far surpassed all of their expectations! Praise God! Praise the Great I AM!
AMEN
Thompson Trio - We look forward to Bombarding the Heavens with you on Sunday evening.
Also, I keep coming back to this verse (and my interpretation) and wanted to share with you:
Luke 18:27 says, “The things which are impossible with men (physicians) are possible with God (The Great Physician).”
We have full belief that God is in control.
The Shamps
Shaina...I continue to think of your mom and the MIRACLE that God has worked in her life. She is truly a testimony of HIS HEALING and POWER!! I am trusting that the Lord will do the same in the life of Chaia!!
Love
Beth
Hey guys, you don't know me at all, I'm just a random college kid at OU and I passed your blog on someone's facebook, but I want you to know I've been following your story and your faith absolutely inspires me. I've got no way home or I'd be at the service. I'll be praying down here in Athens instead.
Much love! Jenny Skoda
